Author: Timothy Poole

stormtrooperBraces yourselves Jedi warriors, the Star Wars fans are coming.

Yes, Star Wars Episode 7 is scheduled for release in 2015 and the film's makers have held an open casting call in the UK for several leading actors.

Essentially, then, if the directors are in favour, anyone could become the next Han Solo or Luke Skywalker. Why not give it a try?

The Star Wars recruiters are looking for:

Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit.

Young 20-something male, witty and smart, fit but not traditionally good looking.

A late 20-something male, fit, handsome and confident.

A 70-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesnt need to be particularly fit.

A second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and fit.

A 40-something male, fit, military type.

A 30-something male, intellectual. Apparently doesnt need to be fit.

Along with producer JJ Abrams and scriptwriter Michael Ardnt, unconfirmed reports have suggested that Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are expected to make a return to the saga that launched their careers.

Maybe you could be next.
